Adult Leaders
Frisco Troop 142 is a boy-led troop guided by knowledgeable BSA-trained adult leadership.
The Troop Committee, which is the troops Board of Directors, supports the troops adult and youth leaders in delivering a quality program to the troops Scouts. It is the Role of the Troop Committee to advise the Scoutmaster on policies relating to Scouting and the chartered organization, assure that quality adult leadership is recruited and trained, carry out the policies and regulations of the Boy Scouts of America, ensure that the troop program provides at least 10 days and nights of outdoor programming per year, manage the Troop finances, obtain and maintain Troop equipment, support troop program delivery, and support most importantly youth recruitment and safety.
The Scoutmaster is the adult leader responsible for the image and program of the troop. The Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters work directly with the Scouts. The importance of the Scoutmaster position is reflected in the fact that the quality of guidance will affect every youth and adult involved in the troop.
